Frequently asked questions

What time can I check in?

Check in is between 3pm and 8pm. If you arrive earlier you can park your car and leave the luggage and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

What time is checkout?

Check out is by 11am. Please note: we start cleaning the hot tub and sauna from 9:30am in order to have everything ready for the next arrivals.

Is there free parking?

Yes, there is free parking for 2 cars or even a campervan.

Do you have free Wi-Fi?

Yes, Wi-Fi is free of charge. Please bare in mind that we are in the country side and the internet might not be as fast as you have it at home. It is still fast enough for browsing, emails and using social media.

Is the hot tub for exclusive use?

Yes. There won't be any other guests at the time and you have everything for exclusive use.

How many cottages do you have?

We only have one cottage called "The Ferry".

Are dogs allowed?

Well behaved dogs are allowed and free of charge. We kindly ask that dogs are not left alone in the cottage, unless you bring a dog cage for them.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, children are welcome. Infants under 3 are free, please just book for the adults and let us know that you bring an infant, so we can provide a cot and a high chair. Children aged between 3-12 can stay for a small percentage of the adult rates. Guests older than 12 are subject to full adult rates.

Where can I pick up the keys?

Please let us know the estimated time of arrival and we will be there to give you the keys.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. After your confirmation email you will receive a 2nd email with the amount due and out bank details within 24h.

When do I pay the rest?

The balance of the payment is due within 28 days of your stay. Where bookings are taken within 28 days of your stay, full payment must be made immediately. We will send an email out with our bank details or you can pay via cheque.

What is your cancellation policy?

If the tenants has to cancel their reservation for any reason, they must notify us by telephone and confirm in writing. We will then attempt to re-let the property. If we are able to re-let the property no charge will apply. However if the cancellation is inside 28 days prior to arrival and we are unable to re-let then full cost will become applicable. We strongly recommend that you arrange your own cancellation insurance to provide for a refund in the event of unforeseen circumstances causing cancellation.

Do you have a cleaning charge?

No, we don't charge for cleaning, but we ask you to leave the cottage in a tidy condition.

Do you charge for electricity or logs?

No, the price you see when you book the cottage is everything you have to pay.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, if you stay 7 nights or longer you will get 15% off. The discount is only available when you book via our online system.

I can't find any prices or an availability calendar!

There is a "Book Online" section on every page. Please insert your preferred arrival date and click "search". The availability and prices will be viewable before you actually book the cottage.

Can we have an ASDA or Tesco delivery?

Yes, of course. If the delivery arrives before you, let us know in advance and we put your shopping in the fridge and cupboards.

Do I need a fishing permit?

No, fishing is free for guests (trout & gayling). If you need a fishing permit for salmon, please get in touch with us.

Where is the nearest pub?

Just 2 miles from here. If you want to come home by taxi we recommend booking it in advance. We only have 1 taxi in Aberfeldy. Tel 01887 820370
